An awesome little short made by Sebastien Laban and Virginie Goyons. It has gotten a lot of recognition and even featured in the 3D World magazine. There’s even only one single exemplar of a scrapbook dedicated to this short which the creators hold. Check out the short!

Pinta is a simple, really nice alternative for Linux/mac os x/windows, when you don’t need the big guns (GIMP).
In Ubuntu versions Karmic or Lucid, you can simply copy and paste this in a terminal window:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:moonlight-team/pinta && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install pinta

K-ON!! & Starcraft II Beta

I have started to watch the second season of anime K-ON. It still goes strong as a moe anime, with the main characters doing lot of random things in a rather cute way.
What I most like with the series is not so much the moe stuff, but this is one the the few anime to have a really good soundtrack. It’s mostly because the anime is about the Light Music Club.
The first season was so good I watched it whenever I had time and if there was a new episode out.

Some time ago I got access to the Starcraft II Multiplayer Beta and it is one of the best betas out there at the moment. Finally we will be able to play the sequel to one of the best RTS games ever made. My favorite race is Protoss, closely followed by Terran. I haven’t played much with Zerg, so I can’t form an opinion about them. Protoss Carriers is still in the mix. Nice to see that Blizzard kept those mighty and awesome flying battle units.
